FEIF Youth Cup 2012 – further details
The FEIF Youth Cup will take place at the horse centre of Verden in it is hosted by the German Icelandic Horse Association with Kirsten Schuster in charge. The cup starts on Saturday evening and has training Sunday-Tuesday, ‘horse free’ activities on Wednesday and it ends with a competition Thursday-Saturday. Sunday morning is good bye time and then its time to travel back to your home country. The cost is EUR 650/participant and the deadline for the countries’ participation application is April 15. More detailed information will be handed out to the national youth leaders during the FEIF conference.
Youth Horse Trekking Tour 2012
The FEIF Youth Horse Trekking Tour is on!
Upon request from countries as well as individuals the the FYHorse Trekking Tour is on again and it will take place 18-21 June, 2012, outside Kristianstad, in the southern part of Sweden. This youth event will take place this summer in Sweden at Hejeskogens Islandshästar and Tanja Zabel (a member of the FEIF Youth committee) will host the event. The event is for youngsters 12-21 years old and it costs EUR 250/participant.
The aim with the tour is for the youth to spend some great days together, riding together and having lots of fun together in the Swedish country side. The riding tour aims for pleasure riders with horses (their own or rented) and the ride is approximately 15-30 kilometres per day. The participants sleep outside in the nature and will also be responsible for helping out with the cooking and keeping of the horses. During the ride in the southern part of Sweden there will be a lot of opportunities to swim with and/or without the hoses, and you will most likely see a lot of wild animals like deer, elk and birds.

New & exciting activity for the youth! The FEIF Youth Committee has decided to organize a Youth Horse Riding Tour in Iceland this summer.
The aim with the tour is for the youth to spend some great days together, riding in the countryside of Iceland and having lots of fun.
The riding tour aims for pleasure riders who have good experience to ride fast tempo and they have to be able to ride approximately 25 – 35 kilometers per day with loose horses.
The participants will sleep in good accommodations during the trip. In the wilderness/
mountains they will sleep in a cabin where there is heat but no electricity. They will also be responsible for helping out with the cooking and cleaning.
DATE: 29 July – 8 August, 2012
PRICE: 800 €/participant
PLACE: starting and ending point: Reykjavík, Iceland.
HORSES: The horses will be rented from a riding tour farm Kálfholt.
AGE: 14 – 17 years (the participants have to turn 14 in 2012 up to turning 17 in 2012).
